Uniform.

Mini disclaimer - As my camera hasn't got shutter speed, I've yet to master to wind noise reduction nonsense, hence the fuzziness. Soz.

Before I get to the clothes, let's talk eBay.
New phone case & watch. Both from eBay. Both under £3.
I love eBay!
I've only recently started using even though I've had an account for years.
I was a bit scared about being conned & all that but, hopefully, it's a lot safer now

Onto the clothes & I made sure that I chose items I would wear outside of work & I love them all!

The shirt is amazing as it goes with everything what with it being black & white & I love the heart print.
I was going to get a blazer instead of the white cardigan but I didn't see any I liked.
The jeans are a bit of a bother as despite them being long-length, not regular, they're not longer than regular-length jeans I buy.
I'm probably not making any sense so let's move on...

As soon as I walked into the store, I knew I wanted this shirt & I've got it!
Black & white, polka dots. Can't go wrong.
I wasn't a fan of wide-leg trousers as I'm so used to skinnies but I tried them on with my shirt in the next outfit & I loved them.
The colour is perfect for brightening the dull days in London as the Sun doesn't want to show itself.
*Although, we have had a bit of sunshine recently so let's hope it's here to stay!*

OMG, I'm wearing a skirt!
I used to hate skirts & dresses. I think I went about 5/6 years without wearing one!
But the past few years, I've gradually started to like them & now I wear them a lot more often.
This ribbed pencil skirt can be worn high-waisted as a mini-skirt or on the hips for a more demure look.
I usually wear it on my waist with tights till the Sun pops out.
YAY, I've got a baroque shirt!
This shirt reminds me of Arabian Nights, I love the print & the texture.

All items were from Next, so I'll let you guess where I work...

P.S.
I chose the right time to go to The Body Shop as they were (& still are!) doing 25% off their fair trade favourites
so I bought the Tea Tree Skincare Kit as my skin is still very teenage, as in full of blemishes.
I've heard great things about this stuff so I hope it works!
Thanks to the Grazia magazine I found on the bus, I got this free Coconut body butter, which smells divine :)

Have a great week!  x

Hello there.

When it comes to blogging, I'm no Susie Bubble.
And by that I mean I'm not great at it!
But I enjoy it and will continue to do it!
(Inconsistently, yes, but blame work.)

Working in retail, full-time, Mon-Fri, 4/5 late shifts is pretty tiring.
But if feels great to say that I have a job, what with the ridonkulous-ly high unemployment rates.
(technically it's an apprenticeship but work is work, money is money.)

Random Instagram photos.
New loafers and new nails.

Got an uniform post coming up!
Have a great week :)

Double denim on my birthday.

'Twas my 20th birthday yesterday & I'll be honest, 20 isn't an age I've been looking forward to.
Mainly because it reminds me that my childhood is over :(

BUT I'm grateful to be alive and I DO look forward to the next decade in my life.
And I start work on Monday :) *good times*

Anywho, onto the denim...

Shirt - Sportmax // Jeans - Random shop // Brogues - New Look

I wear the hell out of these jeans. And these brogues. They're both just amazeballs.
I have a love/hate relationship with this shirt.
It's slightly tight around the chest & I wish it was longer but it was free & it's designer so I can't complain.

The weather SUCKED, hence sucky photos.
Grey skies, thunder, lighting & bloody rain. Sun, where the hell are you?!

P.S. I'd like to wish a happy birthday to my Scrooge Naomi :)

New Nails.

Mosaic Effects in white & black // Aqua Fantasy // Fuchsia Fun // Blue Escape

*My hands aren't freakishly inverted, I swapped them around by mistake because I'm a knob*

I used Fuchsia Fun with the black effects and Blue Escape with the white effects.
I love Avon nail varnishes, most of the nail products I own are from Avon.
Each are normally £6 but they're currently on offer for £3.
The colours (not the effects) are quite thin so I'd suggest a few layers for a thick coat.

*Typical Random Babble*
Giving up meat for Lent was a lot more difficult than I thought. 6 weeks with no meat, never again!
Sorry veggies, but I shan't be joining you.
Happy Easter peeps! x

Designer vs. High Street!

This season is one of my favourites, I'm loving all the trends right now & the high street has some amazing pieces available at really good prices.

I've paired off a few items from both ends of the fashion scale, each from a key trend.
I've chosen my top three P's - Prints, Pastel, Pyjama.

Let the battle commence.

Prints.
Prints have been a trend forever, but this season, it's all about confident clashing.
I particularly like printed suits as they both clash yet match.
I think too much print can be a bit sore on the eyes, so minimal and muted tones for everything else.

The Stella McCartney pieces both price up at £665. Gasp I know.
River Island's pieces are much more affordable at their average prices (£20-£50)
Both offer the prints in an array of clothing: blazers, shirts, trousers, dresses etc.

Pastels.
I don't really need to speak much about this trend.
If you have fully working eyes, then you'll have seen it everywhere, even in your wardrobe.

These jeans are pretty much identical, except for the price that is (and most likely, the quality.)
At a cool £185, the Current/Elliot pair are more than four times the price of Topshop's, priced at £40.
So whatever your budget, there's a pair of pastel jeans out there for you.

Pyjama
I've ventured out to the shop around the corner in my PJ's in the past so this is my favourite trend of the season.
I've seen them styled with matching tops, which I'm not a big fan of, as it can look like you've just crawled out of bed, especially if you're rocking the bed hair.
I think blazers go really well with these.

I love H&M's pair, great print and shape, plus you can't go wrong at £29.99 either.
Etro's, on the other hand, aren't my cup of tea and for £650, they can keep it.

What is your favourite trend of the season?
